Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Fiscal Administrator/Finance Manager to lead the Parks and Recreation fiscal unit, directing payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting. This role will supervise staff and manage budgets while advising leadership on financial policy and strategy.

You will perform cost-benefit and economic analyses, oversee projects, and prepare reports for executive leadership. A bachelor’s degree and several years of management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Six (6) years of related work experience in general management, project management, budgeting and/or finance.
• Two (2) years in a managerial role.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conducts fiscal impact, cost-benefit, and economic analyses for projects and programs.
• Oversees special projects, including proposal preparation, compliance monitoring, and liaison duties.
• Leads feasibility and economic impact studies for internal and external projects.
• Prepares budgets, financial reports, and policy recommendations for leadership.
• Supervises professional, accounting, and clerical staff and manages hiring and training.
• Prepares and monitors departmental budgets; forecasts revenues and economic trends.
