Job summary

GC Investment Management LLC, located in the US Virgin Islands, seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to own the accounting, analysis and reporting for consolidated structures and to support funds, new initiatives and ad-hoc requests.

You will maintain the general ledger, prepare schedules, assist auditors and drive process improvement with a collaborative fund accounting team in a fast-growing, small-office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in private equity / leveraged finance / hedge funds or similar is strongly desired.
• Excel proficiency required; Workday Accounting Software and Wall Street Office or similar packages are a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical and accounting skills.
• Comfortable with a steep learning curve and able to collaborate with peers.
• Meticulous, detail-focused and accurate.
• Ability to learn, drive process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in accounting and reporting for GCIM’s funds and vehicles, ensuring alignment with partnership agreements.
• Maintaining the general ledger and coordinating automated and manual entries with Operations.
• Preparing and maintaining supporting schedules and streamline processes.
• Providing timely, accurate fund and business reporting and analysis.
• Supporting financial statements and liaising with auditors on new accounting pronouncements.
• Driving operational efficiencies and strong controllership across processes.
• Assisting in ad-hoc projects and requests.
