Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a Sr. Financial Accountant to join its Corporate Financial Accounting team. You will manage fixed assets, leases, and GAAP reporting while supporting month-end, audits, and cross-functional initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting principles knowledge, ERP experience, and the ability to drive process improvements in a collaborative environment. Relocation to a new TX office is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification in progress or completed preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience desired.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Fixed asset management including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals and reconciliations.
• Lease management in compliance with ASC-842, recording and reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Consolidated financial statements for the company and subsidiaries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify process improvements and participate in new system implementations.
• Collaborate across departments and mentor junior accounting staff.
