Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a 6-9 month contract. This remote role supports key accounting initiatives and day-to-day financial operations during a period of growth and transition.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in software/SaaS, strong reconciliations, ASC 842 expertise, and advanced Excel. You will partner with finance leadership on technical accounting matters while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in software/SaaS is preferred.
• Strong GL, reconciliations, and month-end close experience.
• Exposure to ASC 842 and software capitalization concepts.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex account reconciliations including intercompany, AP, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger accounting.
• Assist with entity integrations and operational accounting processes across multiple business units.
