A leading healthcare provider seeks a Senior Finance System Analyst to oversee Workday Financials. This fully remote role involves collaboration with Finance and Supply Chain teams, enhancing system functionality, and ensuring effective utilization of financial products. Ideal candidates will have extensive Workday experience and a strong finance background.
The Senior Finance System Analyst is responsible for leading the technical oversight and maintenance related to Finance and Accounting functions in the Workday Financial product suite. Works closely with the Finance, Supply Chain and Payroll functional areas as the technical resource to analyze, suggest and troubleshoot issues and new requests. Works closely with other Workday System peers on cross functional enhancements and issues
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a member of the Digital & Technology Solutions department partnering with Finance areas to support the configuration and maintenance of Workday Core Financials, Banking & Settlement, Budget, Business Assets, Expenses, FDM, Financial Accounting, Grants, Supplier Accounts, Projects, reporting, analytics, and integrations.
Develop and implement best practices for Workday system use, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
Gather feedback from users, analyze workflows, and implement enhancements or customizations to meet evolving business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
Perform complex Workday configuration changes, create test scripts, and test.
Research, design, test and implement configuration changes resulting in process improvements.
Serve as a lead subject matter expert for Workday Financial products and apply knowledge to maintain effective system utilization and efficiency.
Manage Workday semi-annual releases and regular updates for Finance modules.
Monitor system performance and proactively address issues, coconsciously seek opportunities to enhance system process and improve user experience.
Facilitate change management processes, including the development of release management communication plans, implementation plans, and rollback plans for financial products.
Investigate, triage, and troubleshoot escalated issues and system outages. Perform root cause analysis and exercise appropriate problem resolution and risk mitigation strategies.
Develop internal training materials to be used to educate functional and end users on Workday Financial functionality.
Stay apprised of Workday releases and new features, assess impacts and recommend adoption strategies.
Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to drive the product roadmap.
Provide mentorship and direction to junior members of the technical team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Accounting, Finance or technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience
7+ years of Workday Finance development, configuration, reporting, product support, implementation or related experience and training required
Expertise in at least in 5 Workday Finance modules such as Core Financials, Banking & Settlement, Budget, Business Assets, Expenses, FDM, Financial Accounting, Grants, Supplier Accounts, Projects, or Calculated fields required
Healthcare Finance functional experience strongly preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of Finance operations and experience in Finance data management and reporting
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal customers, cross-functional colleagues, vendors, and technical partners
Ability to accurately define requirements and interdependencies to develop viable solutions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects across a variety of applications
Ability to provide strategically aligned direction and coaching to a variety of stakeholders
