Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional for a remote US-based role focused on core accounting, reporting, and financial operations. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate month-end closes and respond to ad hoc requests.

The role requires university-level accounting/finance experience, GAAP knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience in program finance, budgeting, and GAAP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support internal controls reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and special cross-functional and ad-hoc analysis.
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to the site controllers on key metric, deliverable, reporting requirements and ad-hoc analysis.
• Build finance capabilities, tools and skills to increase efficiency and value of the Finance team across the business.
• Monitor and analyze general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions while supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and operational teams to facilitate journal entries, provide SAP guidance, and resolve accounting-related inquiries.
