Job summary

CRCOG is seeking a Finance Officer to lead financial procedures and systems, aligning budgeting and spending with strategic goals. You will oversee accounting, payroll, risk management, and HR administration, reporting to the COO and supervising the Finance Department.

The role emphasizes internal controls, grant management, and board-ready financial reporting, with a Grade 6 or 7 salary depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field, plus extensive public sector accounting or auditing experience.
• At least five years of supervisory responsibility and staff management.
• Grade 6/7 level, with strong budgeting, reporting, and governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cash flow, budget adherence, and financial reporting to support management decisions.
• Perform grant invoicing, reporting, and ensure grant compliance.
• Oversee internal controls, audits, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Prepare requisitions, procurement documents, and year-end closing requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to audit findings and recommendations.
• Present financial analyses, long-range projections, and budget to the Board.
