Job summary

HCSC is seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead and manage financial processes and the internal and external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments. You will oversee auditor communications and approve journal entries, ensuring quality and consistency across financial statements.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Business, Finance or Accounting, 7+ years in accounting/project management, 4+ years in management, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance OR Accounting.
• 7 years professional work experience in accounting and/or managing projects.
• 4 years of management experience in a business-related field or in Finance.
• Clear, concise, grammatical communication with appropriate word choice to all levels of management.
• PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial processes and internal and external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, bank reconciliations, vendor balancing and payments, pharmacy rebates, and hospital discounts.
• Oversee communication with auditors, review responses for quality and consistency, and respond to queries about processes and procedures.
• Provide final approval of department journal entries and account reconciliations, and coordinate major financial system changes related to new product lines or mergers.
