Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a senior finance leader to manage financial processes, reporting, and audit coordination. You will approve journals, oversee reconciliations, and drive system changes for new products and mergers.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and travel willingness to cover assigned regions. Base pay range is $92,700.00–$167,500.00 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package and incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance OR Accounting.
• 7 years professional experience in accounting and/or managing projects.
• 4 years management experience in a business-related field or finance.
• Clear, concise written communication to all levels of management.
• PC proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, able to multitask.
• Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial processes and internal/external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, reconciliations, payments and rebates.
• Oversee auditor communications, respond to queries about processes and procedures.
• Provide final approval of department journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in coordinating major financial system changes for new product lines or M&A and oversee implementation.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading and managing the financial processes and the internal and external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, bank reconciliations, vendor balancing and payments, pharmacy rebates, hospital discounts.

Oversees communication with auditors, reviewing responses for quality and consistency, and responding to queries about overall process and procedures.

Provides final approval of all department journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assists in the development and coordination of major financial reporting system changes associated with new product lines, mergers, acquisitions, etc., that impact premiums, claims, capitations, pharmacy rebates, bank reconciliations, etc., and oversees the implementation of those changes.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance OR Accounting
• 7 years professional work experience in accounting and/or managing projects
• 4 years of management experience a Business-related field OR in Finance
• Clear, concise, grammatical communication with appropriate word choice, to all levels of management
• PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
• Excellent analytical skills, detailed-oriented, managing and prioritizing several tasks at the same time
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan. Flex employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days a week. Management will have discretion to modify an employee's weekly schedule for exigent circumstances.
