Job summary

Huber, a multi-entity agritourism and beverage enterprise, seeks a Finance Professional to lead accounting across the organization. The role focuses on financial reporting, strategic planning, and strong internal controls in a family-owned environment.

You will partner with treasury, drive budgeting and forecasting, and manage the close processes for all divisions, including inventory and cost accounting. CPA preferred; manufacturing experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 10 years progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Hands-on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise, including PO and Inventory Management.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, financial reporting, inventory management and internal controls.
  • Indiana state and federal tax knowledge.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • Experience in beverage alcohol manufacturing (winery, distillery, brewery) preferred.
  • Experience in agriculture, farm operations, retail, hospitality, or agritourism beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day accounting functions including financial reporting and general ledger management.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities.
  • Develop division-level P&L statements for each operating unit.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to ownership and leadership.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close, AP/AR, payroll, and GL reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting.
  • Oversee internal controls and compliance with tax requirements.
  • Collaborate with CPA, legal counsel, banking partners, and outside advisors.

Position SummaryThe Finance Professional is responsible for leading all accounting operations across Huber's family of businesses. This is a hands-on, highly visible role that requires both technical depth and the interpersonal ability to work effectively in a family-owned, multigenerational environment. This position will serve as a key resource to ownership in financial reporting, strategic planning, compliance, and the continued development of financial systems and controls across all divisions.The Finance Professional will work in close collaboration with the company's existing Treasury function, which oversees banking relationships and cash management, ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated financial operation across all entities.Huber's is a seventh-generation, family-owned agritourism and beverage alcohol enterprise operating across multiple business divisions including farming and agriculture, a winery, a distillery, retail, a farm market, a café, event facilities, and a play park.
