Job summary

Mile Marker is seeking a Senior Director, Controller in New York, NY. This hands-on leadership role focuses on close processes, internal controls, and scalable finance operations to support growth and M&A activity.

You will partner with the CFO, lenders, and PE sponsors to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance. The role requires a CPA with 10+ years in accounting, including leadership of teams, with ASC 606 revenue, project-based accounting, and experience in PE-backed

Qualifications

• CPA required; MBA a plus.
• 10+ years accounting experience including Controller roles.
• GAAP, ASC 606, project-based or agency accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with private-equity-backed environments and PE reporting.
• M&A diligence, purchase accounting, and post-close integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting cadence.
• Lead GAAP reporting, audits, and SOX-lite controls.
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting, and working capital.
• Oversee debt covenant reporting and lender/PE communications.
• Drive initial financial diligence, data room prep, and PPA for M&A.
• Lead finance systems (ERP) and mentor accounting team.
