Job summary

Westlake is seeking a senior finance leader to serve as the strategic partner for its Chlorovinyls business unit. The role emphasizes ensuring US GAAP accounting, SOX compliance, and leadership of monthly close, forecasting, and budget processes.

The position involves overseeing a 35-40 person accounting team across corporate and plant sites, driving process improvements and ensuring strong internal controls with executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent; 12+ years progressive accounting experience.
• CPA, CFA and/or MBA preferred.
• Supervisory/management experience in a Corporate Accounting Department or large manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth analysis and communication of financial data and business intelligence to enhance the Chlorovinyls operations.
• Partner with financial and business leadership to influence strategic decisions.
• Oversee Chlorovinyls accounting during monthly close ensuring US GAAP compliance and issue resolution.
• Drive support for leadership in presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
• Ensure financial controls and SOX compliance, including documentation and testing of key controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to meet timetables and address issues.
• Review monthly performance and forecasts, identifying variances and key drivers.
• Oversee annual operating budget activities and long-range planning for Chlorovinyls.
• Assist Segment Controller in applying accounting policies consistently with Westlake standards and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with accounting team on process improvements for accuracy, efficiency, controls and transparency.
• Oversee monthly forecast preparation, site-level reporting, and review reserves and estimates.
• Provide strong leadership to a 35-40 person team across corporate and plant sites.
• Handle any additional responsibilities or projects as assigned.
