Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Head of Finance and Facilities Operations for a well-established educational institution on the San Francisco Peninsula. The role is full-time, temp-to-hire, onsite with a competitive pay rate of $75–$85 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible finance and operations leadership experience.
• Strong nonprofit accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls knowledge.
• Experience presenting financial information to executives, Finance Committees, and Boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, investments, reporting, and long-term modeling.
• Oversee accounting operations, audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with leadership and Board to provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Provide leadership across facilities, capital projects, vendor relationships, insurance, contracts, and risk management.
• Oversee payroll, tuition planning, financial aid, student accounts, receivables, and related operations.
• Lead and develop finance, accounting, financial aid, facilities, and business-office staff.
