Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living seeks an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial strategy for a 132-acre continuing care retirement community in Ashburn, VA. You will be part of the Executive Leadership Team, shaping strategy, driving performance, and guiding critical decisions across a large operation.

The role emphasizes partnership with operations, strengthening controls, and mentoring accounting staff to support growth and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in a related/similar industry with at least the last 5+ years in a management/supervisory role.
• CPA is a plus
• Critical thinking ability required. Must be able to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the community.
• Establish and maintain strong accounting controls and efficient financial processes.
• Lead the analysis and interpretation of financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with operations to support business decisions and financial performance.
• Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Identify and help mitigate business and enterprise risks.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support effective financial operations.
• Coach, develop, and mentor accounting staff
