Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Digital Finance Transformation Data Scientist at Senior Associate/Manager level within our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice in the United States. Qualifications

4–8+ years of professional experience; consulting or professional services experience preferred.
Advanced Python programming experience, including familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.

Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
Experience with ETL/orchestration tools (Dagster, Temporal, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Matillion).
Demonstrated ability to develop lightweight finance applications using Streamlit or Retool.
Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including forecasting, working capital management, and three‑statement modeling.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to translate between finance and technology teams.
