Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Associate/Senior Associate for Digital Finance Transformation in Private Equity Performance Improvement. The role blends Python/SQL expertise with finance operations to modernize data environments, automate processes, and build analytics tools that drive cash, EBITDA, and transparency improvements.

You will partner with CFOs and FP&A leaders to design and implement scalable digital solutions that translate finance needs into actionable data workflows, with a salary

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience; consulting or professional services experience preferred.
• Advanced Python programming experience, including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
• Experience with ETL/orchestration tools (Dagster, Temporal, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Matillion).
• Demonstrated ability to develop lightweight finance applications using Streamlit or Retool.
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including forecasting, working-capital management, and three‑statement modeling.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to translate between finance and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Help PE portfolio companies accelerate digital enablement within the finance function, modernizing data environments and processes.
• Build analytics‑driven tools that create measurable business impact and automate workflows.
• Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders to design, implement, and operationalize digital solutions that improve performance and transparency.
