Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Data Scientist Senior Associate/Manager for Digital Finance Transformation in Private Equity Performance Improvement. You will modernize finance data environments, automate processes, and build analytics tools that drive measurable outcomes for PE portfolio companies.

The role requires strong Python, SQL, and data platform expertise, plus a finance operations background and effective cross‑functional collaboration with CFOs and FP&A leaders.

Qualifications

4–8+ years of professional experience, consulting or professional services preferred.
Advanced Python programming with ML libraries knowledge.
Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms.
Solid finance/FP&A understanding: forecasting, working capital, three‑statement modeling.
Ability to translate finance needs into technical solutions and communicate with CFOs.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operationalize digital finance solutions for PE portfolio companies.
Modernize data environments, automate processes, and build analytics tools.
Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders to drive performance and transparency.
