Southside Electric Cooperative seeks an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead financial operations that support safe, reliable, affordable, and innovative electric service across Southside Virginia. You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, purchasing, warehouse oversight, internal controls, audits, and decision support.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 10 years progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Experience in utility accounting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and internal controls.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger integrity.
• Guide annual operating and capital budget planning with departments.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital projects and major purchases.
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and internal controls.
• Lead purchasing and warehouse functions, including procurement controls and inventory accuracy.
• Serve as a resource for employees, management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Coach and develop staff to create a collaborative, service-focused team culture.
