Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a Northern New Jersey manufacturing organization to identify a hands-on Controller who reports to the CFO. This high-impact role oversees accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

The Controller partners with leaders on financial planning and analysis, drives process improvements, and leads external audits and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems in complex operations.
• Proven ability to manage monthly close and deliver accurate financials.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL management and close processes.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage external audits and coordinate tax compliance activities.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow forecasting, and banking relations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and executives.
• Develop financial metrics and reporting to support decisions.
• Lead special projects and system enhancements as needed.
