Job summary

Xplora Search Group is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function for a manufacturing-focused organization in New Jersey. Reporting to the CFO, you will drive financial reporting, policy development, and internal controls while mentoring the accounting team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
Strong financial statement and month-end close experience.
Hands-on leadership and team development.
Excellent communication across all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions.
Manage the monthly and annual close processes.
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting.
Maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide financial analysis and insight to the CFO and senior leadership.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Partner with operational and cross-functional leaders throughout the organization.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and overall efficiency.
Support the annual audit and other accounting and finance initiatives.
Maintain a hands-on approach and assist with complex accounting matters and problem resolution as needed.
