Christman Constructors, Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking a seasoned Controller to establish and maintain financial controls, oversee accounting functions, and lead the accounting team through monthly closes, tax planning, and audits.

The role requires strong experience in construction accounting, CPA or CCIFP preferred, and a track record of improving close cycles and financial reporting accuracy. Travel is local and occasional; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum ten years’ experience in the accounting/finance sector.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsabilidades

• Establishes and maintains financial controls and oversees AP, AR, and Contracts.
• Prepares monthly close, journal entries, and work papers for tax returns and audits.
• Coordinates annual tax return with CPA firm and annual audit with CPAs.
• Mentors accounting staff and develops team capabilities and succession.
• Produces monthly financial statements and conducts analytical reviews of performance.
• Manages cash projections and provides forecasts for year-end totals.
