Job summary

Mercy seeks a Sr. Consultant Finance to oversee the production and reconciliation of financial statements and related reports for Mercy entities.

You will lead financial planning, analysis, and business case development for strategic initiatives and coordinate mid-month forecasting and Strata data activities. You will guide co-workers, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive data-driven decisions through collaboration with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong communication, written and oral.
• GAAP knowledge and financial statement presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, analysis, and business case development for strategic and operational initiatives.
• Lead scoping and intake activities for new initiatives.
• Coordinate data elements and collaborate with stakeholders on business case logic.
• Summarize business case projections in Mercy's standard proforma template.
• Oversee mid-month forecasting process and advance to automated AI-driven approach.
• Analyze technology requests and present findings to the SCOPE committee.
• Manage a portfolio of recurring, project-based, and ad hoc analyses.
• Oversee data rollover from annual budget to long-range financial plan; ensure Strata usage.
