Job summary

Kraken is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Finance Data Eng & Analytics team. You will build trusted financial data products, automate reconciliations, and improve the close process using AI-assisted tooling, turning complex data into reliable pipelines and models.

You’ll work at the intersection of data engineering and accounting, ensuring outputs are tested and traceable. You will partner with Finance and Engineering to enhance reporting, implement scalable data pipelines,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics and data management within financial services or a regulated industry.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including writing, debugging and maintaining production code.
• Hands-on experience building and operating pipelines and models using dbt, Spark, Airflow or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Finance and Platform Accounting to improve reporting and decision-making.
• Partner with Finance to translate business needs into practical data and automation solutions.
• Build and maintain automated workflows for data preparation, reconciliations, reporting and follow-ups.
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations to help stakeholders understand performance and investigate issues.
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks with Finance, Product and Engineering, addressing root causes and progress.
