Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Finance Data Eng & Analytics team. You will build trusted financial data products and automate processes to support the close cycle.

You’ll turn complex data into reliable pipelines, models and reconciliations, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while ensuring testability and traceability. You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, Finance and Platform Accounting to align priorities, translate business needs into data

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics and data management within financial services or a regulated industry
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including production code maintenance
• Hands-on experience with pipelines and models using dbt, Spark, Airflow
• Direct experience with finance or accounting data, including reconciliations and month-end close
• Experience owning pipelines end to end and improving production reliability
• Excellent communication across Engineering and Finance

Responsibilities

• Work with Data Engineers, Finance and Platform Accounting to improve reporting and decision-making
• Build and maintain automated data workflows for preparation, reconciliations, and reporting
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks with cross-functional teams
• Build scalable pipelines to collect, transform and curate data from internal and external sources
• Contribute to a trusted finance data lake with clear definitions and quality checks
• Prototype AI-assisted automation solutions for Finance needs
• Evaluate new technologies and improve production readiness
