Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Commercial Sales, Finance and Business units in the Distribution channel. You will develop 18-month channel forecasts by brand, customer and product, gather inputs from procurement and operations, and drive monthly volume and gross margin analysis against forecasts.

You will analyze sales and P&Ls, assess pricing impacts, aggregate EBITDA views, and perform ad hoc modeling.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting with emphasis in the same; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a financial analytical role
• Strong analytical skills and direct experience with financial modeling
• In-depth understanding of income statement geography
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience collaborating with multiple teams and managing competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with other departments and senior management
• Experience with database development and reporting tools; Microsoft Excel; ERP & HFM/Essbase/OneStream preferred

Responsibilities

• Key financial resource between Commercial Sales, Finance, and Business unit management in the Distribution channel
• Develops channel-level forecasts by brand, customer and product type for 18 months
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and logistics to gather inputs for forecasting
• Responsible for monthly volume and gross margin analysis and bridges
• Analyze sales channel/customer-level P&Ls against forecast and historical results
• Understand impact of pricing and procurement on margins
• Aggregate channel P&Ls into a consolidated EBITDA view for Distribution brands
• Complete ad hoc financial modeling and analysis as required
• Improve transparency of activities across the Business unit
• Regularly analyze third-party information to understand market trends
• Contribute to integration and process improvement commercial projects
