About The Role

The Senior Finance Analyst will serve as a foundational contributor to the agency’s financial operations, providing critical support across bookkeeping, billing, receivables, and expense management. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to help build financial infrastructure that scales with the agency’s growth.

The ideal candidate brings both precision and initiative, ensuring day-to-day financial responsibilities are executed flawlessly while also identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen cash flow, and support strategic decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of operations and strategy, providing visibility into multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end close support
• Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows, ensuring on-time payments and proactive client outreach on late receivables
• Own the Stripe billing process, ensuring client invoicing is accurate, timely, and properly tracked across systems
• Process and reconcile expense reports, coordinating with team members to enforce company policies and documentation standards
  
  

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including budget variance analysis and forecasting support
• Provide analytical support to senior leadership on cash flow modeling, revenue tracking, and scenario planning
• Collaborate with department leads to support budget development, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
  
  

System & Process Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy
• Support the integration and optimization of finance-related tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Stripe, expense platforms)
• Help develop SOPs for recurring financial processes to improve consistency and accountability across teams
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with the client delivery and sales teams to ensure finance data aligns with client agreements and service delivery
• Act as a liaison between finance and operations, marketing, and senior leadership to improve internal transparency and reporting
  
  

Required

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally in a digital agency or startup
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred), Stripe, and Excel/Google Sheets
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Experience managing or supporting billing, AR/AP, and expense tracking processes
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in the professional services or digital marketing industry
• Familiarity with cash flow forecasting, budgeting tools, and dashboard/reporting software
• Knowledge of GAAP and/or financial modeling best practices
  
  

What Success Looks Like In This Role

• All transactions are categorized and books are closed on the 3rd business day of the month
• The financial model is delivered to the leadership team on the 5th day of the month
• All transactions are categorized properly with receipts and are defensible in the event of an audit
• All finance operations run with speed, accuracy, and clarity. Building trust across internal teams and leadership
• Stripe billing and AR processes are tightly managed, resulting in timely payments and improved cash flow
• AP processes are tightly managed and cash is monitored & maintained
• Expense management is standardized and easy for staff, with high compliance and clear documentation
• Financial reports are timely, insightful, and help inform strategic decisions at the leadership level
• New financial processes are introduced that improve operational efficiency and profitability tracking
