Job description

Industry: Consumer Products / Entertainment / Motorsports

Thunderhawk is conducting a search for a client in entertainment and live events to identify a Senior Finance & Accounting Coordinator for its Consumer Products / Motorsports division. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance and accounting professional looking to build broader experience across accounting, FP&A, consumer products, merchandising and business operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accounting and finance interact closely with the business.

The Opportunity
  • The Senior Finance & Accounting Coordinator will support critical finance and accounting activities across the Consumer Products organization, including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, audit support, inventory accounting and royalty reporting.
  • This is a hands-on role with exposure to Accounting, FP&A, Merchandising and Operations, making it particularly attractive for someone looking to develop a well-rounded finance career rather than being limited to a narrow accounting function.
  • The position is fully on-site in Henderson, Nevada, with work at event locations as business needs require.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate day-to-day finance and accounting activities for the Consumer Products division.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
  • Track revenue, expenses and other key financial metrics while investigating routine variances.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, trackers and supporting analyses for finance and business stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries and follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Merchandising and Operations to support accurate financial reporting and resolve process issues.
  • Maintain and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, expenses and related financial documentation.
  • Support royalty reporting, inventory accounting and product-related financial transactions.
  • Coordinate audit requests and supporting documentation while helping ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Maintain P&L trackers for assigned motorsports events and retail operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, documentation and operational processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and coordination support for special projects and business initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A or related business operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across finance and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, budgeting or forecasting.
  • Experience with inventory, consumer products, retail, merchandising or royalty accounting.
  • CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • For someone with a couple of years of accounting or finance experience, this role offers something particularly valuable: breadth of exposure.
  • Rather than focusing exclusively on general ledger accounting, you'll gain experience across:
  • Accounting + FP&A + Consumer Products + Inventory + Merchandising + Operations
  • You'll work with multiple business functions and gain hands‑on exposure to both recurring accounting processes and the financial performance of products and live‑event operations.
  • It's a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a broader finance skill set and grow beyond a traditional entry-level accounting role.
Additional Requirements
  • This is a fully on-site position in Henderson, NV and may require working at event locations based on business needs.
  • Candidates should be comfortable in active live-event environments, including potentially loud and busy settings. Occasional evening or weekend work may also be required.
