Job summary

Doeren Mayhew is seeking a Financial Institutions Group – Financial Statement Audit Professional to plan and manage audits for financial institution clients, including credit unions and community banks. You will serve as a trusted advisor, apply professional judgment, and contribute to engagement quality and profitability.

The role involves coaching staff, staying current with accounting standards, and participating in firm development activities under the FIG Practice Leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant audit experience in public accounting.
• CPA license preferred or CPA-eligible with plan to pass.
• Financial institution audit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage engagements or sections of audits within budget.
• Evaluate internal controls, audit programs, and risk assessments.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and management letters.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and interns.
