Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Technician III – Field Support Generalist to operate and instruct on Unmanned Air Systems in the field, ensuring procedures are followed and safety is maintained. You will work with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to keep course materials aligned with current product features.

Requirements include 5–8 years of relevant experience, willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS, and ability to deploy for extended periods. U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have solid understanding of military tactics, operations, GPS and navigation using maps and compass.
• Must have strong analytical skills to solve complex problems.
• Ability to work with little supervision and exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Operates and instructs on Unmanned Air Systems (UAS).
• Participates in MTTP/MTTM programs.
• Maintain safe field operations and inventories of UAS equipment and materials.
• Complete documentation for field operations and data collection.
• Input critical information into after-action reports and lessons learned databases.
• Lead and mentor small groups of students to meet course objectives.
