JOB TITLE: UAS Maintenance Technician III

DEPARTMENT: Field Operations

REPORTS TO: Field Operations Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

Job Summary Under indirect supervision, the UAS Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all aircraft and related equipment. This role will perform monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, mechanical, and sensor integration systems in accordance with specifications and operational procedures within client technical facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform unmanned aviation ground handling operations.
• Conduct UAV launch and recovery operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Perform maintenance and repair of aircraft structures.
• Deliver training programs to new UAV Maintenance Technicians, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and safety standards.
• Respond to and resolve emergency situations as they arise.
• Ensure standards are implemented and upheld in daily activities.
• Maintain equipment used to support aircraft mission operations.
• Analyze and interpret equipment log reports.
• Diagnose and resolve operational problems.
• Perform other duties as necessary and/or required.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance on aircraft systems, subsystems, and ground support equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, flight controls, avionics, technology systems, and associated components.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment and safe rigging techniques.
• Ability to travel up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS.
• Must currently possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• May be required to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.

Preferred Requirements

• Military flight experience is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting deployed UAS ISR operations.
• Composite, structural, and mechanical repair experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including distinguishing wire and cable colors; moving, lifting, and carrying equipment such as ladders, tools, air tanks, test equipment, and other objects weighing up to 100 pounds; working at heights; and climbing ladders.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT physical.
