Job summary

Centurion, an Atwell Company, seeks a Senior Field Test Technician to lead testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems across substations and datacenters. The role offers field work in multiple states (AZ, OH, ID) with a typical cycle of four to five weeks on, then a week off.

You will train junior staff, perform testing, manage data, and support project managers in scheduling and budgeting while ensuring safety and quality in every task.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong documentation discipline.
• Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently in the field while coaching others.
• NETA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentorship of entry to mid‑level employees to complete testing on basic/advanced electrical devices and elementary systems.
• Perform visual / mechanical inspections and electrical testing on basic and more advanced electrical devices and circuits.
• Oversee upkeep and maintenance of electrical test equipment and staging of test materials for project execution.
• Communicate issues and test failures to the client and provide remediation for corrective action.
