Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert Co in Richardson, TX seeks a Sr. Field Technician to lead complex substation testing and maintenance projects, interfacing with customers and engineering teams to ensure safe, high-quality execution.

The role combines advanced technical expertise, field leadership, and project coordination to deliver reliable electrical systems across various equipment. Travel and overtime are occasional as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen is required for this safety-sensitive role.
• Criminal background check is required.
• Overtime and travel to job sites may be necessary.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical equipment across high/medium/low voltage.
• Safely supervise on-site activities, enforce PPE usage, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Prepare and review detailed testing and maintenance reports; manage project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure schedule, quality, and safety compliance.
• Serve as primary field interface with customers and internal teams; provide technical guidance.
