Job summary

UES, Inc. seeks an Inspector II to perform advanced field inspections and materials testing across diverse construction projects. You will independently interpret codes, apply project specs, and compile precise reports to support engineers and clients.

You’ll mentor junior inspectors, maintain certifications, and stay current with safety and regulatory requirements while traveling up to 40% of the time, driving company vehicles and documenting those activities meticulously.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding/vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of field inspections or materials testing experience.
• Industry certifications (ACI ICC) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to read blueprints, standards and specs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent field inspections and materials testing.
• Interpret codes and project specs to ensure compliance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with diagrams and findings.
• Mentor junior inspectors and provide guidance.
• Communicate with engineers, dispatchers, and clients.
