Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Lead Field Technician – Critical Infrastructure to drive field execution on hyperscale data center projects. You will coordinate across electrical, mechanical, automation, and commissioning trades, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality.

The role requires strong technical judgment and onsite leadership across multiple sites. The position demands 6–8 years of field leadership experience in mission-critical construction, with relocation to major

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in field execution roles within mission-critical, hyperscale, or complex MEP construction environments.
• Demonstrated experience directing field crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety practices, and quality control.
• Experience working under a Site Superintendent or Project Superintendent on large-scale projects.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for assigned scopes, zones, or workstreams.
• Direct STC field labor and coordinate subcontractors and trade partners within assigned areas.
• Coordinate daily activities across trades including electrical, mechanical, automation, controls, networking, and commissioning.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings, site walks, and trade alignment discussions.
• Resolve routine field conflicts and escalate complex issues to the Site Superintendent.
