Job summary

TransCore is seeking a Lead Technician to join our team in Bonifay, FL. You will lead crews in installing ITS field devices, communications systems, and traffic signal systems, performing on-site work and coordinating with customers to determine solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience, with 2+ years leading field crews and a preference for a Class A CDL and MOT certification. You will oversee safety, training, and scheduling, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• A valid Class A CDL (CDL) preferred.
• Florida Advanced MOT Certification preferred.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing field crews.
• Must pass background and drug screenings per TransCore policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in the construction and installation of ITS field devices, communications systems, and traffic signal systems.
• Perform on-site installation of electronic, electromechanical, and low-voltage electrical equipment.
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors and train technicians on newly installed equipment.
• Prepare schematics and procedures for new equipment; generate proposals for time, labor, and materials.
• Drive locally and over long distances to project sites as required.
