Job summary

TransCore ITS, LLC seeks a Technician I to join the team in Bonifay, FL. The technician will perform on-site or in-house servicing, repair, and installation of company products, including electrical and fiber optic work, conduit and foundation installation, and system testing.

Responsibilities include documenting reports, responding to alarms, and ensuring safe operation. A valid Class B CDL and basic tech knowledge are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 0–2 years related experience preferred.
• CDL Class B required.
• Basic knowledge of desktop technologies and communications software (Windows OS, TCP/IP).
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating manuals.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Installs equipment such as cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets.
• Installs electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optics, pull boxes, conduit, poles, and foundations.
• Connects electrical conductors to power services and energizes equipment.
• Tests devices to ensure proper operation.
• Completes reports and communicates shifts per policy and local practice.
• Responds to maintenance requests or alarms within established timeframes.
• Diagnoses and repairs hardware and software issues.
• Reports system status accurately and completely.
