Job summary

Entegro is seeking a Senior Field Technician to install, test and maintain telecom equipment on-site in Philadelphia, PA. You will perform audits, fibre and copper cabling work, and collaborate with senior engineers to complete projects on time and within budget.

The role requires hands-on field experience, strong documentation skills, and willingness to travel to client sites. You will engage in safety compliance and continuous training to advance technical skills.

Qualifications

• Equipment audits, port audits, fibre/cable tracing, and optical testing are required.
• Hands-on field installation, commissioning, and maintenance across telecom sites.
• Ability to document tests and results clearly and timely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom equipment and infrastructure in field environments.
• Carry out Datacentre or PoP audits including equipment, ports, cabling and connectivity.
• Conduct troubleshooting and fault isolation on optical network components.
• Perform network testing, validation, and documentation of optical fibre networks.
• Collaborate with senior network engineers to configure and test installed equipment.
• Work with customers and internal teams to deliver projects and resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed.
• Perform risk assessments before field work.
• Ensure safety and compliance with industry standards on-site.
• Participate in training to keep skills up to date.
• Submit daily progress reports including risks.
• Support after-hours cutover or migration activities.
