Job summary

Entegro in Philadelphia is seeking a Junior Field Technician to support a major network relocation project. You will assist Senior Network Engineers with design, planning, integration, migration and decommissioning of telecom layers, including fibre, copper, IP and data center components.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc qualified in an Engineering Subject.
• Knowledge of telecommunication principles.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• IP principles and Networks experience desirable.
• Advanced Excel or Access Skills.
• AC/DC Power experience desirable.
• Practical/hands-on experience with telecommunication equipment (routers, switches, etc).

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Network Engineers in the design, planning, integration, migration and decommissioning of network layers such as Outside Plant & Fibre, Inside Plant & Racks, Cabling, DWDM, SDH, IP, DCN and Critical Infrastructure.
• Utilise bespoke inventory systems and apply a methodical, data-driven approach to analysis and manipulation.
• Potential travel for project needs and hands-on field work.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

We require Junior Field Technicians to join our company on to support a major real estate and network relocation project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Main responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Network Engineers in the design, planning, integration, migration and decommissioning of the following layers:-

• Outside Plant & Fibre
• Inside Plant & Racks, Cabling, etc
• DWDM
• SDH
• IP
• DCN
• Critical Infrastructure (Space, Power, Cooling)

In addition, this role will require utilising bespoke inventory systems and will require individuals who have a methodical and logical approach to data analysis and manipulation.

The role will also offer the chance to travel.

Above all, we are looking for individuals with enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
