Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and leader in complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role balances service center work with remote support, travel to remote sites, and occasional plant assignments to provide advanced field support.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and tackle challenging diagnostic issues using high-end tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years automotive repair experience.
• 3 to 8+ years on High Voltage (HV) systems.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote diagnostics when possible.
• Coach, mentor and train junior technicians; lead problem solving.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Conduct road tests and drive continuous improvement across repairs processes.
• Oversee complex parts operations including ordering, receipt, inventory, and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to engineering/leadership.
