Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Survey Lead to direct field operations for large-scale solar and BESS projects in the United States. You will manage a survey team, ensure timely data collection, and produce maps, plans, and legal descriptions while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in surveying, strong leadership, and proficiency with survey equipment and software.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Surveyor or equivalent role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical skills, including experience with survey equipment and software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring resources and support.
Oversee the survey work, including data collection and preparation of maps, plans, and legal descriptions.
Ensure survey work meets standards and regulations.
Interpret survey results and decide on survey methods and equipment.
Communicate with clients and provide progress updates.
Maintain and update survey equipment and train the team.
Collaborate with Construction Manager to complete the project on time and within budget.
