Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead a 1-5 person crew in boundary/topographic, ALTA, GPS, hydrographic and control surveys. 90% of work is in the field with outdoor conditions; you will train staff, review field notes, and ensure smooth project execution.

Experience with Trimble or similar software and a valid driver’s license are required. This full-time on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Construction staking and data collection systems experience required.
• Ability to perform basic GPS operations.
• Proficient with Robotic Total Station.
• Minimum 7-10 years as Crew Leader/Party Chief.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of survey equipment on job site.
• Prepare field sketches and high-quality field notes.
• Assemble instruments and measurement devices for survey work.
• Ensure equipment is loaded and batteries charged for next task.
• Perform mathematical calculations and read plans accurately.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
