Job summary

Peckham Industries, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent II to oversee multiple active projects, including DOT and night paving work. You will lead field teams, manage production plans, and drive safety, quality, and cost efficiency across sites.

You will mentor foremen, coordinate with project managers, plant operators, and other internal groups, while advancing workforce development and performance. This is a field leadership role requiring independence and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience, including highway, DOT, and/or night paving work.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving, milling, grading, and heavy highway work.
• Ability to train others and share knowledge across teams.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multiple job sites to ensure safety, quality, production, and scheduling standards.
• Manage Job Production Plans (JPPs), short-term schedules, and pre-construction activities with the Project Manager.
• Maintain thorough project oversight with detailed daily logs and accurate progress tracking.
• Proactively resolve field issues and identify cost savings, efficiency improvements, and forecasting opportunities.
• Foster a strong safety culture by leading toolbox talks and safety meetings and training sessions.
