Job summary

BL Harbert International seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for material handling projects in the Southeast US. You will supervise crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence on conveyor and related systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a supervisor or leadership role in material handling or industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of material handling systems and conveyor installation.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and project schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on assigned material handling projects.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
• Plan and supervise installation activities (conveyors, racking, mezzanines).
• Collaborate with project management to review schedules and forecast needs.
• Conduct site walks, quality checks, and punch list completion.
• Maintain detailed daily field reports and project documentation.
• Communicate with owners, vendors, engineers, and internal teams.
• Monitor labor productivity and mentor field crews.
• Assist with project start-up and close-out tasks as needed.
