Job summary

Pavarini Northeast, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in the New Haven/Groton CT area to join our team. The role emphasizes field supervision, coordination of subcontractors, safety, and schedule control on commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of field experience, supervisory roles, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience as General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent is preferred.
• Strong communications, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains accurate status reports.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontractors.
• Reviews status with Project Manager and client representatives; large projects may have multiple superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and followed by crew when operating tools.
• Directs subcontractor activities on ground-up residential projects.
• Analyzes manpower, materials, equipment requirements and coordinates with other supervisors.
• Implements and enforces field policies, procedures and work rules.
• Prepares reports and forecasts; keeps supervisors informed on progress.
• Ensures safety standards in operational area and equipment are safe.
