Job summary

McGough is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site operations for complex projects. You will manage field teams, oversee safety and schedule adherence, and collaborate with the project management team to control costs and quality.

The role demands strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and Lean practices. Travel is required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10–12+ years construction experience overseeing multiple superintendents.
• Experience adjusting field labor between projects.
• Experience mentoring Superintendents and Assistants.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• 15+ years of field experience preferred.
• LEED AP or green building certifications preferred.
• 2- or 4-year degree in construction related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-construction tasks including pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
• Site logistics, schedule and safety planning; build crisis management plan.
• Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on assigned projects.
• Develop, manage and adjust project schedules with the Project Management team.
• Procure materials, tools and equipment and track procurement.
• Monitor quality and ensure OSHA compliance on site.
• Maintain project documentation and support closeout tasks.
• Build strong relationships with clients and design teams.
