Job summary

Gordon Highlander is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects across the South/Southeast. You will manage schedules, safety, quality, subcontractors, and client relationships from mobilization through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of frontline supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

7+ years of commercial construction field supervision experience.
Experience managing ground-up commercial construction and tenant improvements.
Strong knowledge of means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics.
Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; scheduling platforms.
OSHA safety knowledge and site safety management.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site construction activities to keep projects safe, on schedule, on budget, and high quality.
Develop and communicate project schedules, milestones, and short-term plans.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Monitor progress and proactively resolve field issues and delays.
Conduct site inspections for safety, compliance, and quality.
Maintain organized jobsite and collaborate with PMs, owners, architects, and engineers.
Lead meetings and coordinate with teams throughout construction.
Review drawings and docs to identify challenges and opportunities.
Ensure work complies with codes, regulations, and company standards.
Manage project documentation and report status to clients.
