Job summary

Elite Executive Solutions in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a growing commercial GC. This role requires coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and delivering projects safely and to spec.

You will review drawings, manage site logistics, and mentor field teams while maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring quality and on-time delivery across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction field leadership with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience as Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, sequencing, and means and methods.
• Proven ability to lead projects from site mobilization through final completion.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for commercial general construction projects from mobilization through completion.
• Manage subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, and onsite project activities.
• Develop and maintain short-term and look-ahead construction schedules.
• Coordinate daily activities across multiple trades to maintain overall project schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate project priorities and expectations.
• Monitor construction progress, productivity, quality, and project milestones.
• Identify potential field conflicts, constructability issues, and schedule impacts and proactively develop solutions.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, inspections, and sequencing of work.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
• Lead punch-list, inspections, turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and project safety requirements.
