Job summary

Gordon Highlander is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects in the South/Southeast, with a focus on Austin, TX. This role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships to deliver projects on time and to high quality.

You will coordinate subcontractors, supervise field teams, review drawings, and ensure compliance with codes and company standards throughout

Qualifications

7+ years of commercial construction field supervision experience.
Experience managing tenant improvement/corporate interior projects.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling.
Ability to coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders efficiently.
Proficiency with construction management software.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site construction activities ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
Develop and communicate project schedules and milestones.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
Monitor progress and resolve field issues and delays.
Conduct site inspections for safety and quality compliance.
Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
Lead meetings with stakeholders and manage client communications.
Ensure work complies with codes and contract documents.
