Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead technical pre-sales for a flagship aircraft program in early design. You will act as the primary technical interface to senior government stakeholders, business development, and engineering leadership, shaping requirements and aligning our roadmap with future mission needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical sales, capture, or engineering in defense or aerospace.
• Experience interfacing with U.S. DoD and international defense bodies.
• Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling technical narratives.
• Experience with tactical aircraft, fighter jets, or group 5 UAS.
• Experience closing deals over $15M.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales engagements for a new advanced aircraft platform.
• Influence product definition and capability prioritization with senior leaders.
• Support technical capture for domestic and international opportunities.
• Translate customer needs into system requirements and roadmaps.
• Develop technical narratives for briefs, RFIs, and proposals.
• Build relationships with customer DoD and foreign government stakeholders.
• Assess market signals, competitor activity, and feasibility for investments.
• Represent Shield AI across the pre-sales lifecycle.
