Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Technician to install, service, and support wireless communications equipment for public safety and enterprise customers. You will work directly with end customers, ensuring quality, performance, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of service tech experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, or Vertex gear; strong RF theory knowledge; ability to interpret schematics; and a professional appearance for on-site

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent.
• CET / R56 certifications are a plus and helpful for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and provide tech support for wireless equipment including UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment with customers in a positive, efficient manner.
• Provide site surveys, FATP, quotes, bids, and schedules with customers.
• Install DAS and BDA systems and related cabling per standards.
• Travel and on-call duties as needed.
